To publish a web page on a web application managed with Webpagebytes CMS take the following tasks
- Create a site page with text/html content type
- Create a site url and link the url with the site page created
- Test the created page

Create a site page with text/html content type
Step 1On Webpagebytes CMS administration interface navigate to Site pages section.
Step 2Create a new site page by clicking on New site page link. Choose any name for your site page, in this case the name will be 'index'
Step 3Edit the 'index' site page and add your own HTML code. The following fields needs to be completed
|Site page description||Leave the value index . This value is used just for display purpose.|
|Content type||The the value text/html . This value represents the site page content type.|
|Source interpretation||Choose Plain text source . This means that site page content will be used as it is without any scripting interpretation|
|Site page content||Type the site page HTML code|
Create a site url and link the url with the site page created
Step 4On Webpagebytes CMS administration interface navigate to Site urls section.
Step 5Create a new site url by clicking on New site url . The following fields needs to be completed
|Site url||Type /home . This is the URI on which the site page is published|
|Is the url live||Choose YES . If NO is selected then the HTTP request will return 404 status code|
|HTTP operation||Choose GET . This is the HTTP verb that will be used to get the site page|
|Resource type||Choose Site page|
|Resource External Key||Type the name of the site page, 'index' and select from the drop down list the site page|
Test the created page
The site page published url will depend on the web application context path, server name and port.
Assuming that the context path is ROOT, the server name is localhost and the port is 9090, the site page will be accessible to http://localhost:9090/home
